Apps,
made carefully.

PS — we say no to most projects. It's the kindest thing we can do. More on that →

Index 01 — Discipline

The things we're good at, and the things we let other people do.

01
Native mobile
Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android. We pick cross-platform when it's the right call — most days, it isn't.
~10 wks
02
Web platforms
Dashboards, admin tools, marketing sites that don't read like LinkedIn posts.
~6 wks
03
Product design
We design before we build. Sometimes we design *instead* of building, and that's been the right answer too.
~4 wks
04
Quiet AI features
LLM features that aren't a sparkle icon and a chat box. Done right, you wouldn't even notice them.

Keeping it alive
Once it ships, we don't disappear. Monthly retainer, real humans, sensible SLAs.

Index 02 — Casebook

A handful we're quite proud of.

i.
2025 · iOS & Android

Orbit — a slower kind of social app.

Two co-founders, one good idea, and a brief that boiled down to: "make Instagram, but for the four people I actually like." We shipped V1 in eleven weeks. They've since raised a seed round.

We did everything — naming, brand, app, marketing site, the deeply unglamorous bits like push-notification copy.

Pulse — running, without the noise.

A heart-rate-zone trainer for runners who think Strava has become a social network with a stopwatch attached. No feed. No medals. One screen that tells you to slow down.

Featured by Apple in week three. We're still slightly shocked.

Stack Studio — a no-code builder we actually use.

A flexible builder for indie founders who want to launch this weekend, not next quarter. We designed it the way we wish other tools were designed: opinionated, fast, and willing to say no.

Whisper — a journal that listens.

Talk into your phone, get back a journal entry. No transcripts dumped on a page — proper writing, in your own voice, organised by the things you actually care about. On-device where it can be, encrypted everywhere else.

Index 03 — Method

How a thing actually gets made here.

The short version.

You email us. We talk for an hour. If we both fancy it, we send a two-page brief and a fixed-fee proposal within a week. No twelve-week discovery phase, no PowerPoint about "frameworks for innovation".

We work in two-week loops with weekly demos. You see the thing growing. You can change your mind. We'll push back when we think you're wrong, and we'll be wrong sometimes too.

When it's done, we hand over a real codebase, real Figma files, and a Notion page that explains every decision we made.

i.
An hour, a kettle.

One call, no slides. We ask the awkward questions early.

ii.
A two-page brief.

What we're making, what we're not, what it costs, how long it takes.

iii.
Sketch & sharpen.

Two weeks of design before a single line of code. Most ideas die here, and that's fine.

iv.
Build in public.

Weekly demos with real users. The roadmap moves as we learn.

v.
Ship & stay.

Launch is week one. We're around for at least three months after.

Index 04 — Honesty

The bits people don't usually put on a website.

What we love working on yes

  • Apps with one strong opinion and the spine to defend it.
  • Founders who can describe their user in one sentence without saying "everyone".
  • Projects with a real budget and a real timeline — both written down.
  • Rebuilds where the original is held together with hope and Stripe webhooks.
  • Anything in healthcare, education, climate, or finance for people who don't usually get good apps.

What we politely pass on no

  • "Like Uber, but for ____." We've heard it. So have you.
  • Crypto launches, NFT mints, anything where the product is the token.
  • Pure staff-augmentation gigs. We don't do bums-on-seats.
  • Projects where the brief is "make it look like Linear."
  • Anything we'd be embarrassed to talk about at a dinner party.
Index 05 — Hello

Right then. Say hello.

We reply to every enquiry within two working days. If yours is a fit, we'll send back the brief and a proposal within a week.
